director: Mindy Camacho
Mindy has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for nearly 40 years directing and teaching in a variety of programs. She earned her Associate Degree in Behavioral Science, followed by taking 60 specialized ECE Units, then later earning her BA degree in Liberal Studies from SFSU. Mindy has a Program Director Permit, issued by the state of California, which is continually renewed every 5 years by continuing her knowledge through workshops and classes. She has taught infants, toddlers, preschool age children, and adults as well. She loves smaller programs, where she can get to know all the children and their families, working in tandem with parents, to help each child grow and develop a love for learning as they prepare for Kindergarten.
Mindy is a mom of two adult children. Her oldest lives in Phoenix as a 911 dispatcher, while her youngest works as Director of Patient Care at an Alzheimer's memory care facility in Belmont. Mindy lives in Pacifica with her husband and dog. Mindy's favorite place is the beach. When she is not at work, she likes to spend time with her family and friends.
"I feel so fortunate to be a part of Village Nursery school."
